Community Involvement
In following the way of Jesus who fed, healed, and placed himself among some of the most vulnerable in society, we too at St. Peter’s seek to do the same. We seek to be caring people in the North County area through supporting basic needs, providing fun and safe activities for everyone, and being connected to folks in the community trying to make North County better. We do all of this through things like a warming center for our unhoused community members, a BIG Easter party called the “Bunny Brunch” or a Trunk or Treat, volunteering at a community VBS, meeting with folks like the Chosen for Change Foundation or the Ferguson Ministries Alliance, and numerous other ways.
Community Picnic
Every fall we host our annual Community Picnic. St. Peter’s likes to kick-off the school year right with a dunk tank, music, dancing, cotton candy, popcorn, and a bubble bus. We see this as a perfect place to say hi to our neighbors, have some of our ministry partners join us, and get excited about learning.
Game / Movie Nights
Our Game Nights and Movie Nights are when we host a fun night out with the family and friends. We share in some ice cream, popcorn, and drinks while getting to know folks of all different generations and backgrounds.
Being plugged into North County also means that our involvement changes and shifts depending on what the community is doing and needing. We are always listening for where the Holy Spirit is leading us as a people, and that listening means we’re listening to you too.
